| Well this year we thought we knew what we were in for. As usual we were wrong. We started off by donating a bus to the kids at Rockhampton Special School from the money we raised last year and then went to party mode. Then it rained and the wind blew, the police asked us not to ride the first leg. So we didn't and trailered down to the next spot, went for a bit of a group tour on the skis in sheltered waters and having wet our skis and got rid of some frustrations went to Toga Party Mode. |
| The next day the weather was only marginally better and some went and some didn't. All boats were pulled out at lunchtime and we headed to Bundaburg for a "Bundy good time". Next day the weather cleared and we were into it. All boats in the water and we took off. We headed via Hervey Bay, past Fraser Island to Rainbow Beach where the first of the trekkers did their "Red Faces" acts - hilarious !! Next day breached the bar and did the only leg that was cancelled the year before. The dreaded Rainbow to Noosa run. Then a quick run to Coloundra for another party and off again in the morning. ![]() COMING OUT INTO THE CHANNEL NEAR BRIBIE ISLAND BRIDGE Down to Brisbane and the much anticipated "Secret Camp" location. We all expected swags and tents like last year but we were treated to a wonderful boutique hotel - what's a crew to do ? - we partied ! Then Morton Bay was very kind to us for our last leg from Brisbane to the Gold Coast and a wonderful night at the Watermark again. Had a great time - catch ya next year. |
